Presbyopia in Raleigh-Durham, NC

As eyes get older, the lens of the eye becomes less flexible, and the eye has a harder time focusing images that are up close. This occurrence, called presbyopia, is a part of the normal aging progress and happens to everyone typically over age 40. Patients in Raleigh-Durham, NC experiencing presbyopia develop a need for reading glasses or bifocals to improve their near vision.

Presbyopia may also be corrected by progressive addition lenses (PALs), multifocal contact lenses and CK surgery.
